it would be better if you would concentrate on giving the maximum number of people a new country rather than trying to provide so much emphasis on new mode and band contacts
spend as much time as possible on cw since that will permit weak signal contacts
17 meters and 20 meters offer the best chance for north american stations
40 meters peaks during the grey line
be sure to stay on past your sunrise as there is a strong peak shortly after the sun comes up
start going by numbers to reduce the size of the pilups

I agree with W2BVD below. I was hearing you 599 on RTTY from Derry, New Hampshire this morning between about 8:30AM and 10:30AM on 15 meters and although I tried for 2 hours with no luck, there was no QRM from europe and very little from state side. I guess most are at work. I work from home Tuesday and Thursday so that works best for me. Still hope to get you for the first time on any mode and band. Still glad I am a contributor. Please expect a US zero call when opened to east coast.

If you want to work NA without any QRM from Europe (ha!), please try 15 metres from two hours before your sunset until the band dies to you. There is a strong opening most days from W1-W2-W3 to Zone 39 at this time, and there is NO propagation from Europe to FR/G at this hour on that band.
